Premium Economy
A separate cabin between economy and business with wider seats, more recline, and better service.
Full definition
Premium economy is an intermediate cabin with wider seats (typically 7-8 abreast vs. 9-10 in economy), 38-40" of pitch (vs. 30-32" in economy), improved meal service, and a separate cabin layout. Common on long-haul international routes.
Premium economy award pricing is typically 50-80% of business class — often the best value tier for travelers who want more comfort than economy but can't find business saver space.
