Layover

A short connection between flights (under 24 hours internationally) that doesn't count as a stopover.

Full definition

A layover is a connection shorter than 24 hours internationally (or 4 hours domestically). Layovers don't count as stopovers and don't add cost to an award ticket. If your layover exceeds these thresholds, programs usually treat it as a stopover and may charge or disallow it.
