Sweet Spot

A specific award redemption that offers outstanding cents-per-point value (usually 3¢+).

Full definition

A sweet spot is a redemption that offers value significantly better than the program's normal pricing. Examples include Iberia Plus at 34K Avios off-peak transatlantic business (6¢+), Atmos Rewards for Cathay Pacific First at 70K (7¢+), and Virgin Atlantic for ANA First at 110K round-trip (8¢+).

Sweet spots exist because airlines price partner awards with flat charts while their own-metal awards go dynamic. When the flat chart undercuts the dynamic chart, you get a sweet spot.
